Supported employment at Leafe's means participants work on real workplace tasks — such as product preparation, labelling, packaging, customer service and retail — in a supportive environment. It's designed to help NDIS participants build genuine employment skills, confidence and experience that can lead to further employment opportunities.
Leafe's supports are available for plan-managed NDIS participants. You must have an active NDIS plan with plan management in place. Leafe's is not an NDIS registered provider, which means self-managed participants may also access supports, but agency-managed participants are not eligible.
No. Leafe's provides supported employment opportunities and employment coaching to help participants build skills and work toward their employment goals. Participation does not guarantee ongoing or open employment. We focus on building pathways, skills and confidence that support each participant's journey.
No, Leafe's is not an NDIS registered provider. This means our services are available to plan-managed (and self-managed) NDIS participants. If you are agency-managed, you would need to speak with your plan manager about whether a change is possible. We are transparent about this and always recommend discussing options with your support coordinator.
Support coordinators can refer a participant by contacting Leafe's directly through our contact page or by submitting an application on behalf of the participant. We'll arrange an initial conversation to learn about the participant's goals, interests and support needs before scheduling a trial.
Participants are involved in a range of real workplace tasks including candle and gift product preparation, product labelling and packaging, stock management, customer service, pop-up retail sales, product photography, online listings and general workplace duties. The specific tasks are matched to each participant's abilities and goals.
Employment coaching at Leafe's includes resume building, interview skill practice, goal setting, workplace readiness development, professional communication skills and, where suitable, travel training. Coaching is personalised to each participant's current abilities and future employment goals.
Leafe's invoices plan managers directly for approved supports. Invoicing follows NDIS pricing guidelines and is based on the service agreement established between Leafe's, the participant and their plan manager. Clear records are maintained and shared with relevant parties.
